Dearest reader, welcome to issue twenty-three of Hot Metal Bridge.
We are so excited for this issue. This winter was a long one, and it’s time for something new.
Our genre editors have selected works from writers that reflect the worlds of their characters or selves operating in spaces of particularity or peculiarity. Within our last few issues especially, we’ve been happy to feature the work of marginalized folks across the globe. It is our intention to cultivate a space that elevates these voices, especially in a political climate bent on silencing them. As writers ourselves we know how difficult it can be to feel like there is an audience for work that is daring and divergent, and we see Hot Metal Bridge as a home for such writers.
We hope these pieces push you forward, across the bridge, into Spring.
Until next time.
